I’ve generally preferred to use ‘archive, shelfmark’ as the title for items. I assume lots of other people will want to do this. But many of the names are so long that they get cut off in the worktop screen and I can’t see the characters all at once. ‘Staatsarchiv Nürnberg Rst Nbg-Ratskanzlei-B-Laden-48/6’ all I can see is ‘Staatsarchiv Nürnberg Rst Nbg-Ratskanz’ and so all the B-Laden end up looking the same. I don’t need a lot of the other columns, but I need to be able to make this column wider so I can see which documents I’ve uploaded etc.
Thanks for reporting this Noah – I’ve added better support for long titles/other metadata to our list to work on. We’ll keep you updated on this
This should now have been addressed by the latest release (v0.1.4) but please let us know if you spot any problems!
Hi Jack - I’m still having trouble with the same issue Noah had. I can’t make the Title column wider:
Yes, this remains a little janky… you can hover over the title to see a tooltip but I realise that isn’t ideal for surveying several items at once. You might find that you have more room to expand the title column if you decrease the size of others (e.g., the “Date added” or “Date modified” columns), though it looks here as though you don’t have much space to work with, in which case you could try zooming out in your browser. We will try to get this fixed soon, so that you can edit which metadata entries appear as columns in the dashboard view.
Thanks Jon. Although the cursor looks like it will allow me to change the column widths, I couldn’t actually adjust them - perhaps because they are already at minimum size. But I think the ability to remove columns, as you suggest, will solve this just fine.
