Organizing all of the items into lists and sublists is very helpful. It would be nice it was a bit easier to move items on mass from one list to another (highlighting a number of them, and moving them at once). An easy ‘copy paste’ would be useful for having an item in multiple lists (for instance, in the list with the rest of its items from the same archive, and a list with items pertaining to a similar subject). Maybe that exists and I’ve missed it though!
Is it at all possible to move one item from one list to another? If so, I haven’t found out how. It would certainly be very helpful if one could reorganize the lists.
Thanks both. These kind of batch editing / organization functions, including to add multiple items to a list at once. are in our upcoming priorities for development.
@Olav_Sigmundstad items can exist in multiple lists at once. From within the item view (in the metadata panel), you can edit which lists the item is associated with. Just click on the names of the lists. Unless this isn’t what you mean?
A post was split to a new topic: Cannot reorder images
That’s exactly what I meant, and now that I learned how to use them, it’s incredibly useful. As you mentioned, though, it would be ideal to make it easier to select and move multiple items between lists, rather than having to do it one by one.
Agreed—watch this space!
I found the list organization structure intuitive and useful for project overview viewing. I would have liked to view the images in each list in grid view. This may have made rearranging them easier and faster.
