How to write a bug report

If you encounter a bug in Leo, please provide the following information to help us identify and resolve the issue quickly.

Please note that this category and these guidelines are for issues relating to the performance of the web app. You do not need to provide this information for issues with transcription output, e.g. hallucinations.

  1. Release version
    You can find this in the corner of the page on the dashboard (not the item-level view), at the bottom of the list panel on the left

  2. Browser
    Include the name (e.g., Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge) and version if possible

  3. Operating system
    Specify whether you are on Windows, macOS, Linux, etc., and include the version

  4. Description of the issue
    Explain clearly what went wrong, what you expected to happen, and what actually occurred

  5. Steps to reproduce
    In as much detail as possible, list the exact steps you took before the bug occurred. If you discovered a consistent sequence of actions that trigger the bug, please outline it here.

  6. If applicable, include:

    • Specific error messages that appeared
    • URL for document or image (only Jack and I will be able to access this)
    • Screenshots or screen recordings
    • Whether the issue persists after refreshing or clearing your cache
    • Notes on how frequently the issue occurs (e.g., every time, occasionally)
