Major changes

  • Leo is faster. The dashboard, folders and shared folders load a fraction of the data they did, and a document opens without reading every transcription first. Large scans open at screen size and sharpen to the full image as you zoom in or crop. Search downloads only the text it shows.

The Leo API and connected apps

  • Faster on large libraries. get_text_stats across a whole account, list_documents at 100 a page and a transform_document dry run each answer in seconds on the largest accounts.
  • Dates match by period. A metadata.date filter of 1583 finds every document dated within 1583.
  • Text written through the API leaves no empty “Transcription” tab behind.
  • Every change is listed on tryleo.ai/developers.

Minor changes

  • Signing in from a link to a document opens that document
  • An empty dashboard or folder has its own Upload button
  • The folder panel’s New folder is a single icon
  • On a shared document, the “Part of” line lines up with the title
  • Help loads when you first open it, so pages load faster
  • Typing and uploading no longer slow the editor
