A school budget with some … between the item and the amount yielded only … in the transcription
Hi Beshouy! Was this a systematic issue with budgets/ accounts or did it just occur on this particular image?
Hi there!
I just wanted to add that I have encountered similar quirks with Leo when using it for budgets/numerical tables. Sometimes, it will note down the numbers, other times it won’t. I am attaching here a screenshot of what it looks like when the numbers don’t make it into the transcription.
Thanks Becca. This should be vastly improved with the model upgrade next week!
Still having this kind of trouble. Leo doesn’t like dotted lines!
I was able to get around the problem by cropping the photos so it could show the names, the dots, but not the numbers.
This was the result: Transcript:

I used Leo to transcribe 18th and 19th century American financial materials that include handwritten receipts, accounting journals with abbreviations, accounting marks, and crossed-out information.
Leo transcribed many of the $ as £
Leo did not know how to transcribe text that uses a vinculum, the horizontal line drawn underneath numbers when adding numbers. Leo did not transcribe them nor put the text in a table. Including these are crucial to understanding and reading financial records.
