My first day of testing and wow! It’s good. Almost all the mistakes are reasonable, letters that are really unclear or ambiguous.
Two major mistakes. On a pge that starts with a chart at the top (it’s a probate inventory, with the name of an item, a row of dots, and then a value, in pounds, shilling and pence to the right, with a vertical line dividing those columns. Leo gave me the first line, and then a page of two of dashed lines, no content.
The second mistake was a page with a horizontal line across the page, about halfway down. It gave the line and then ignored everything else on the page.
Thank you for reporting this! We’re still working on getting tables and structured data like this working reliably and it’s good to know where issues come up.
I had a similar experience with a list of donations made to a charity hospital in Edinburgh (not sure I am allowed to post the picture since it is from private collections). The one I transcribed had the first name in the list appear and then only the horizontal lines for the rest of the donations.
Another example of this problem. A few dashes on a page, and it turns everything else in dashes! export.pdf (3.2 MB) It might be useful to have a work-around where I could ask it to ignore, for example, the table at the top of the page and just transcribe the rest.
Leo inconsistently transcribed long dashes/lines. Sometimes Leo did not transcribe them at all, other times it transcribed them as multiple line of ‘— — — — — —,’ and does not keep the text on one line.
