Line consistency document-transcription

Hello,

The transcription tool has some limitations when it comes to oversized or unconventional documents. It doesn’t allow us to follow the text lines as they appear in the original document, which makes it difficult to compare the transcription with the original text or figure out where we are in the document while reading the transcription.

I’m not sure if it’s technically possible, but there seems to be enough space on the platform to allow for more flexible text adjustment, as shown in the attached image. If it’s feasible, having better consistency between the transcription and the original document layout would be really helpful.

Thank you for this Alberto! If I understand the problem correctly, the issue here relates to the front end. We’ve added it to our list of tickets for immediate development to ensure that the textbox spans the full width of its patent container. Did you notice any other issues with handling documents with lots of text on a single line?

Hi @Aggamboa – the wasted horizontal space issue should now be fixed in the latest release (v0.1.5)!
