Keeping Import Image Numbers

After I upload images, they get renamed in Leo (from say, img_3084 to 203A9C64-EF6C-4B5D-AC3E-9FC1B168BD49_1_105_c.jpeg). I know we can rename but renaming each image in a batch upload I this is necessary only for certain images, outside of being able to name the folder/upload (which I really appreciate).

With the shift in naming, it’s hard to know what the last image was and where in my selection upload process for batch uploads. If at all possible, it’d be helpful to have the img data info that we upload onto the site retained so then we can sort or rename after

Hi Geneva! Thanks very much for reporting this. I think I need some clarification to understand: are you seeing images imported into Leo from your computer that end up with a name on Leo that is different from their filename on your computer? Or is this about the names of images after you export them out of Leo back onto your computer?

Assuming you’re talking about importing: Right now the intended behaviour is that the name of imported images matches the filename on your computer. If you’re seeing something different from that it would be super useful if you can describe step by step how to reproduce the bad behaviour and we’ll get it fixed on our side.

Thanks in advance!

Hey Jon! It is when I upload the images to Leo. I’m attaching a screenshot of how the images are showing up after imported from my computer to Leo.
Thanks!

Thanks Geneva – understood, sorry about this! This is not the intended behaviour and usually doesn’t happen. The filenames are supposed to match the filenames on your computer. We’re added it to our list and we’ll get it fixed as soon as we can.
