Based on my so far limited experience, LEO is not doing a great job with expanding Latin abbreviations and it would be better if it just left the abbreviations as they appear in the manuscript. Here, for example, it did a good job with D[omi]no, but it butchered pl[urimu]m obs[ervan]do.
Thanks for this Daniel! We’re aware of issues with expanding abbreviations in Latin. Our hope is to fix this by giving users more options for transcription output, so that for instance you could ask Leo not to attempt to do this at all.
