Can you eliminate this unnecessary keystroke?

After uploading a document we’re prompted to click “next” in this box:

In the next box, we have to scroll up and place our cursor in the “enter title” box under “add general information.” Since there is, literally, nowhere else to go at that stage other than that box, could you automatically move us there without us having to so manually? The extra five seconds saved on each upload will add up to, I dunno, a few minutes a day! (this is my inner Steve Jobs speaking).

After you press “Next”, and proceed to the second stage of the modal, “Add general information”, it should be that you’re automatically scrolled to the top, and ready to insert the title metadata. This is how it works for me. Can you screenshot where you land when you press “Next”?

Another possibility to speed up the document uploading process is to remove the need for the user to enter a title, so that you could just click through on that screen. We could just name the entire item after the first image and the user could change this later if they wanted to. What do you think?

The cursor just stays in the same place for me – above the spot which said “next” in the previous screen and then says “confirm” (grayed out). A screenshot is kind of useless since the cursor disappears when I click that.

I’m not sire what you mean by “the first image” – as in “the first in a batch”? SInce I’m uploading one at a time for now that’s kind of irrelevant for me, but in general I think it’s best to require people to name each page, to avoid confusion later on. I can well imagine forgetting to go back and added the different page numbers, then being confuse a week later.

Oh I understand what you mean now—that the text field for the “Title” metadata entry should automatically be selected when moving to the next screen. That’s a great idea. Will add it to our list of tasks for development.
