Don’t know if this is just me, but the vast majority of my archive photos are in .HEIC format - they were taken on iPhone, and in order to use them on Leo I have to convert them.
It would be great if either Leo would accept .HEIC format photos, or had a built in converter to avoid using dodgy free converters. I feel like the converter feature would make it more value for money, and would make me more willing to pay for Leo.
Similarly, most of the docs I have from archives (that they have scanned and sent to me) are in PDF format. Again, I have to convert these elsewhere in order to use on Leo. Would be great to have a converter or have Leo accept PDF format to make the user experience much smoother and less frustrating.
Thank you for this, Clare! Allowing users to upload HEIC and PDF files has been on our to-do list for a while and I’ve prioritised these points in line with your feedback. It shouldn’t be too long before these features are released.
That is great to hear, almost all of my files are (long) PDF, so it would be great to be able to upload them without converting.
Both HEIC and PDF files can now be uploaded since our last two releases (v0.1.3, v0.1.4) but please let us know if you spot any issues!
So I am currently trying to upload a PDF file (size 1.6 MB) and I got the toast
“Please wait a moment for Leo to extract images from this PDF” and it seems to be stuck at this stage for about 10 minutes now. This is a second attempt, the first was the same.
Thanks for reporting Maayan! Could you send me an email with the PDF as an attachment? That should help us figure out what’s happening.
