Leo has worked wonderfully for me and although it cannot transcribe materials perfectly, which I did not expect, it expedites the process considerably. For now, a small critique I have is that I was unable to upload IMG files, perhaps there is a good reason why but it was tedious to convert my archive to JPEG format.
The transcription is also having trouble separating words. This makes sense sometimes when words are spaced poorly on a page because of the handwriting, but even when words are clearly spaced a part from one another the system woul merge them together. The problem might be that ink from the other side of the page is bleeding through and blurring the space between words.
I do have one suggestion which might help this problem and other transcription errors - the ability to edit photos in the system itself. Specfically, I want to be able to change the contrast and black point which helps remove any ink that is bleeding through the page. I edited photos on my computer before uploading and it helped a lot, but being able to do it in Leo istelf will make the process smoother and allow us to play around with the photo to get the best transcription. If this is in the system and I missed it, I do apologize.
