I am a social and cultural historian of Britain and empire in the long eighteenth century. I am currently in the final year of my doctoral studies at the University of Birmingham and will be submitting my thesis, ‘Unsettling Mobilities: Space, identity, and the “becoming” of British imperial agents in and en route to South Asia, c. 1757-1840’, in February 2026. My research is funded by the Wolfson Foundation. Outside of academia I am a passionate but clueless women’s football fan, eclectic music enthusiast, happy but tired toddler & ginger cat mom, and proud wife to Lucia.
