I find that it can be quite difficult to keep track of what Leo is doing at any one time. You can only find out what is going on by going to the relevant page for that specific job, unlike in Transkribus, where there is a ‘jobs’ pane, which lists all the transcriptions, exports, and uploads currently in progress. I would suggest that Leo implements something similar, especially because you sometimes run into info boxes which tell you that something is going on without telling you exactly what it is. (I forgot to take a screenshot at the time so can only provide the below – imagine if the below box said, e.g., 20 of your 109 images are still uploading but not which ones are still uploading, so you are not sure whether there is some kind of error or bug where the upload is stuck.)
You also sometimes get an excessive number of toasts which appear and disappear very quickly before you can read them, e.g. ‘fetching items’, ‘fetched lists’, ‘items fetched’. I think these are probably a bit unnecessary for the user and it would probably be better to keep track of these through a log of backend stuff like log fetching (whatever that is) so that the user can access these when necessary when seeking support but not be distracted by them in normal circumstances. So in short, I’d suggest a pane for active jobs and a separate one to log all previous tasks/jobs, including technical/non-user-initiated ones.
